03/04/2004: "Great post over on Townhall"
The crowhill blog keeps pointing me to great columns over on townhall.com. I'll add them to my links. While I'm taking care of that, here's a great column on Liberals and Christianity. They just don't get it do they.

See, this is why a blog is great. It gives everyone a chance to make their voice heard and help others to understand a different viewpoint. When I read the article, I was basically substituting 'athiest' for the word 'liberal'. What I took from the article was a sense that the athiest writers (being a subset of their staff) at newspapers like the New York Times, really don't understand what Christianity is about. Which they don't, in my humble opinion. They don't see it as a radical calling, very different from what society is calling us towards. They see it as a 'cute' club that preaches some catch phrases.
That's what I thought was good about the article.
In any case, now reading the article a second time, I don't like it much either. It is too tainted with a hate for liberals, whether they be athiest or otherwise. That tainting probably kills the article as a whole.
Now Thom, you know why I titled the blog 'As we forgive those who trespass against us'. I knew I was going to need plenty of the preceding part of the prayer.

I find this article highly slanted, hauling out a lot of pathetic stereotypes. If you think the christian faith is more closely associated with either the right or left, you just don't get it (Gospel) do you. I am disappointed Ken!
