03/30/2004: "Who should I vote for?"

While we're on the subject of the presidential campaign, I'm not a huge Bush fan. The democrats could have gotten my vote this time around if they put up a good candidate, but they didn't. So my question to all you bloggers is this. I haven't decided yet, but I'm considering a write-in vote. What's the best name to use for a write-in vote. Here are some ideas that I had:

-Mother Teresa: Dead, but a great leader.
-Pope John Paul II: Ineligible as a Polish man, but makes a good point.
-Me: I'm not 35, how much worse could I make it?
-St. Patrick: Dead, but he'd get the college vote.
-Mel Gibson: Actually eligible to be President!
-Dave Packard: Another dead one, but a good Catholic business man.
-John F. Kennedy: A Catholic worth voting for.

Anyone like those? Anyone else worth putting in?

Don :

Hey Ken,

Romans 8:31
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Acts 5:39
But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God."

Your pal,
Don

Ken :

Here's only one valid response to that one:

"Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God."

-Dt 6:16, Matt 4:7, Luke 4:4. I don't know about you, but something that's in the bible in 3 different places, shouldn't be overlooked. smile

Yes but we failed because we didn't have God on our side then. Now we do. So you see things are in the bag!

Ken :

How many failed campaigns do you expect to run as my campaign manager, Don? I think the last one will have to be my last. But if I ever feel the need to run another failed campaign, you'll be the first to know. razz

Ken, When you are ready to run, count me in as your campaign manager. This time I know we can win. cool eh?

Yeah I know, but my other alternative, Goofy, is cultural Taoist. At least Donald will get enough votes to make me proud.

And no, Mickey Mouse is NOT an option!

Good old CEO of HP Carly Fiorina? Probably at least as much as John Kerry is. In actuality I don't know and probably don't want to. Kenneth Lay of Enron is Catholic, so Carly has another Catholic she'd be a leg up on.

That's it, I'm voting for Donald Duck.

Paul :

Is Carly catholic? <-Please note the small 'c'.

Ken Crawford :

Sorry Brian, you have to be Catholic to make the write-in list.

Kens Brother :

Ken-
I'm shocked I didn't make the list, my relocation of all the residents of fairfield and vacaville to fresno plan would really make the trek from the Bay to Sacramento go a lot quicker. LOL
cheers,
me
