Paul, if you haven't already, you should read John Paul's book "Crossing the Threshold of Hope". It is the constant theme of the book for John Paul to declare these important works of Christ.

I love that. "Do not be afraid!" Believe Him. Just as he said. Believe in the words that he spoke. Faith is not believing that God _can_ do what he said, but that God _will_ do what he said. It is a subtle difference, and all too often I am guilty of being seduced by unbelief and a lack of faith. Thinking that "With God, all things are possible", but instead thinking that "with God, all things are possible (for my Pastor, cause God loves him more)". But thats not what is written. It is written, "Do not be afraid!" Believe. Don't even be afraid to believe. Change your perspecitve from God can do it, to God _will_ do it. Why? Because He said He was going to!
