We all know the role of the UN is to not do what the American’s will do. The UN has to appear to be the opposite… errr… not a puppet arm of the USA.
See that’s the real problem with the UN (and the rest of the world for that). Everyone want’s our moohlah, but not out policy. Ya know? Everyone bitches and moans that we don’t get involved in saving country A by throwing money at it (which is the worst thing we can do), yet everyone bitches and moans when we get involved in country B by invading it, and overthrowing the government. Frankly if we’re going to toss money at a country, I’d like to make sure we’ve got a government that’s not going to be killing their civilians for the sure thrill of it.
But then again, what *are* we supposed to do? Are we supposed to sit back and just watch people kill themselves everyday? We really have two roles we can play in the life of the world, the bully or the rich kid. No one likes either of them, but in the end it’s more fun to be the bully.
