That would be fun to meet up but, and this is the ironic part, I might not be at the game. My wife is due in eary December with our 3rd and of course if they baby's been born or is immenetly arriving, I won't be going to the game. However, I have made plans for my two other children (2 and 3 years old, both boys) to go to the game with their uncle, my brother, should I be unable to take them. I'll let neither Stanford's small stadium nor more children prevent me from fulfilling my promise to my children to make sure they attend every Big Game of their lives!

I haven't been visiting long. Just this morning as a matter of fact. I was thinking that someone else must be writing about this ticket fiasco besides newspapers. So I Googled and your blog came up. I didn't realize at first that you were also a Catholic blogger. I spent some time this morning reading your main blog, which is quite good. It looks like you and I are in agreement on many Catholic issues. I read most of the Catholic blogs on your blogroll. I'd be privileged if you would add me to your blogroll and I will do the same.

Perhaps we will meet on Big Game day?

Sorry to hear you had to go the StubHub route, AmericanPheonix.

I had thought about the "if Stanford fans sell enough of their seats (StubHub, E-Bay) and enough single game tickets go to Cal fans, will there be sections outside the Cal section which effectively become Cal sections" line of thought. My guess is that unless a concerted effort is made to take for Cal fans to buy tickets in certain areas, that isn't likely to happen. More likely Cal fans will just dilute the "Stanfordness" of a lot of sections.

Visiting your site, I see that we share two common interests: Cal and our Catholic faith. Out of curiousity, how did you find my site, through Cal links or Catholic links? Have you been visiting long?

Good for you! We weren't quite so fortunate.

If you buy single game tickets through Stanford do you have to sit in the Stanford section? If enough Cal fans buy tickets will it become a Cal section?
