Are you a heretic?

I found a great quiz. You should try it out! It’s a quiz with various statements regarding who God is. You have to try and pick the correct ones (from a Christian perspective) without picking some false ones that reflect some heresy in the early Christian Church. The one clue I will give you is that there are no 1/2 right statements so there is no need to pick anything other than the two extremes of Agree/Disagree (it’s a range of 5 between the two). The goal is be 100% Chalcedon Compliant and 0% on any of the heresies (of which there is a bunch including Arianism, Gnosticism, Adoptionist, Nestorianism, Donatism and Pelagianism).

As an FYI, Chalcedon Compliant means in compliance with the Fourth Ecumenical Council or the Council of Chalcedon held in the fall of 451 AD. For more information on the Council see here.

I can’t believe you didn’t post your results Ken… just how much of a heretic are you?

  2. Ken Crawford Says:

Well, the honest truth is that I don’t remember what my original answer was. I know I was only 67% compliant and 67% a heretic of some type which I’ve forgotten as well as lesser percentages of two or three others of which I ‘ve also forgotten.

Basically I wanted to know what I answered wrong so I quickly went back, re-read the questions, made a bunch of changes and lost my original answers.

But I’ll admit I was pretty disappointed with my original results whatever they exactly were.

I got a 100% Chalcedon Compliant (woo hoo!) and 60 on the next one down. Go Catholic school education!

Gee Ken, maybe you should spend less time sailing and more time studying up to get that 100% Chalcedon Compliancy…

I worry at night about what my nephews will learn from you… lol
